Fence Moving Time!
We decided to move a portion of our barbed wire fence near the pond. Daddy bull the longhorn steer is very smart. He figured out how to use his "longhorns"; reach his head over the fence and snag the little cottonwood tree with his horn, then pull it over the fence and eat the nice tender leaves!! So, to save the cottonwoods we moved the fence.

Gary is stringing the wire to make a diagonal tension at the end post. The "come-a-long" is tensioning the bottom barbed wire.

We moved the fence over about 10 feet at one end. Set three wood posts, 3 feet in the ground as end bracing. Original fence is on the left. You can see how close the little cottonwood is to the old fence.
